Urgent Refrigerated Transport Brisbane — Same-Day and Next-Day Chilled and Frozen Runs

Same-day and next-day chilled and frozen runs across South East Queensland, including moving stock when a cool room or freezer fails. Same-day depends on vehicle availability, so phone us.

We run urgent chilled and frozen freight across Brisbane and South East Queensland, same day where we have a vehicle free and next day where we do not. Whether today is possible depends on what is available and what time you call, so phone us instead of filling in a form.

Our phones are answered from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, on +61 413 334 089 and +61 401 942 086. Dispatch will tell you straight away whether we can do the run, and if we cannot, when the earliest slot is.

What decides whether same-day is possible

We do not promise same-day on every enquiry. An urgent job is matched to the next available refrigerated vehicle, and these are the things that decide it:

  • The time you call. A request at 8am has far more options than one in the middle of the afternoon.
  • Vehicle availability. A van or truck of the right size has to be free, or finishing a run near you.
  • The temperature. The vehicle is pre-cooled to your set point before loading, and that takes time, most of all for frozen.
  • The load size. A few cartons or one pallet is easier to place than six pallets.
  • Both ends being ready. Stock has to be packed and at temperature, and the receiver has to be open to take it.
  • Distance. A run within Brisbane is simpler to fit in than one to the far end of the coast.

How the three booking types compare

If your stock is safe where it is overnight, next-day is often the better call. It gives dispatch room to plan the vehicle and gives your receiver time to get ready. Our guide to same-day refrigerated couriers in Brisbane goes into the trade-offs.

When a cool room or freezer breaks down

A failed cool room is the most common emergency call we take. The first few minutes matter more than the truck does. Work through this in order:

  1. Write down the time you found the fault and the air temperature showing.
  2. Probe the product. A food business handling potentially hazardous food must have a thermometer accurate to ±1°C. Record a few readings from different shelves.
  3. Keep the door shut. Every opening lets cold air out of a room that can no longer replace it.
  4. Decide where the stock is going — another site of yours, a neighbouring business, your supplier, or a cold store.
  5. Call us with the volume, the temperature and both addresses.
  6. Keep your records. Times and temperatures are what let you show the food stayed safe.

If you have nowhere to send the stock, tell us on the call. We arrange cold storage through partner facilities and can ask what is available. We do not run our own warehouse, so space at short notice is not guaranteed.

What to tell us when you call

  • Pickup and delivery suburbs, and a contact at each end.
  • What the product is, and whether it is chilled or frozen.
  • How much there is: cartons, crates or pallets, and a rough weight.
  • When it can be collected and when the receiver closes.
  • Site access at both ends: dock, kerbside, stairs or lifts.
  • The latest product temperature, if this is a breakdown.

The size of the load decides the vehicle. A refrigerated van takes one pallet equivalent, up to a tonne, and a small truck takes 2–4 pallets. Larger urgent loads need a bigger truck, which is harder to find at short notice. The fleet page lists every class.

Where we run urgent refrigerated freight

Same-day and express runs cover Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and Ipswich. The further the delivery is from the pickup, the earlier in the day we need the call.

For Toowoomba, regional Queensland or interstate, ask. Those runs are normally planned ahead, and a same-day start will depend on what is already heading that way.

What happens once an urgent run is booked

The vehicle is pre-cooled to your set point before it reaches you. The driver reads product temperature with a calibrated probe at pickup and at delivery, and both readings are recorded. Dispatch sends SMS or email updates at pickup, in transit and at delivery, and stays with the run until it is finished.

An urgent job is still driven legally. A business that consigns freight by heavy vehicle is a party in the Chain of Responsibility, so we will not accept a deadline that can only be met by speeding. If the timing cannot work, we will say so on the call.

Turning an emergency into a regular run

If the same urgent run keeps coming up, it is usually cheaper and less stressful to book it. Send the pattern through the contact page and we will quote a regular service. Our booking guide lists what to include.

  1. Q01
    Service

Can I get same-day refrigerated transport in Brisbane?

Often, but not always. Same-day runs depend on a refrigerated vehicle of the right size being free and on what time you call. Phone us as early in the day as you can. If we cannot do it today, dispatch will tell you the earliest slot we can offer instead.

  2. Q02
    Service

My cool room has broken down. Can you move my stock today?

Call us straight away with the volume, the temperature and where the stock needs to go. If a vehicle is free we will send it pre-cooled. Keep the cool room door shut and record product temperatures while you wait, because a truck holds temperature but cannot bring warm stock back down.

  3. Q03
    Service

Can I book urgent refrigerated transport after hours?

Our phones are answered from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, and that is when new urgent jobs are taken. If something fails overnight, keep the doors closed, record temperatures and call at 8am. Earlier calls have the best chance of a same-day vehicle.

  4. Q04
    Service

Is urgent refrigerated transport more expensive than a booked run?

It usually costs more than the same run booked ahead, because a vehicle and driver are being pulled in at short notice instead of planned into a route. We do not publish rates. Dispatch will give you a price on the call before you commit to anything.

  5. Q05
    Pricing

Should I use the quote form for an urgent refrigerated delivery?

No, phone us. Form enquiries are answered within 24 hours, which is too slow for a load that has to move today. A call lets dispatch check vehicles while you are on the line and ask the questions that decide whether the job can run.
